Carolina Calvache Quartet

In Summer 2024, I gave a masterclass titled 'Creativity and Diversity' on music composition. I discussed with the students how to blend the diverse influences of our Latin American roots with jazz and classical traditions to create unique and varied compositions. Additionally, I explored the concept of improvisation, emphasizing composition in the moment.

Teaching jazz summer camps for middle and high school students at the University of Miami. 2022-2023

In Summer 2015, I directed the first jazz summer camp in Ginebra, Colombia. I taught jazz history, improvisation, and jazz theory, and I also organized and led jazz combos and a big band.

2015: Teaching in India for a semester at Swarnabhoomi. Faculty: Brian Metreyeon (guitar), Steve Zerlin (bass), Karina Colis (drums), and Carolina Calvache (keys)

Astoria Piano Lessons is a program I created that brings private education for kids and adults in the comfort of their homes or at the instructor's location. We are a roster of professional pianists and educators located in Astoria, NY
